Cambridge, Ohio – The Guernsey County Commissioners met Tuesday and approved a temporary 2023 budget to offset expenses and revenue which will be in effect until the official overall permanent county budget is approved during the first quarter of 2023.
The new temporary budget is projected at just over $96.9 million, up $1.5 million over the 2022 temporary budget.
When the 2022 permanent budget was approved, the expenses for the county’s general fund were expected to exceed revenue by $1.7 million, however no cash reserves have been accessed to help with the expenses,required to date.
