NOTICE OF AMMENDMENT TO 2022 ALLOCATION GRANT

 THIRD PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Guernsey County Commissioners applied to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the 2022 Allocation & Neighborhood Revitalization Program on June 29, 2022.  The County is eligible to apply for up to $210,000.00 under the Allocation program and $750,000.00 under the Neighborhood Revitalization Program, provided the County meets applicable requirements.  On May 10, 2022, the County conducted its first public hearing to inform citizens about the eligible programs, how they may be used, what activities are eligible, and other important program requirements.  Based on both citizen input and local assessment of the County’s needs, the County is proposing to undertake the following activities and had submitted and requested the amount listed below

*Neighborhood Revitalization Grant Leveraged Funds                      

*Public Facilities and Improvements – Senecaville (Mill Street)        $170,777.00

*Street Improvements – Senecaville (Mill Street)                                 $ 26,370.00         

                   $197.147.00

 

Fair Housing                                                                                             $   3,000.00

Administration                                                                                         $ 9,853.00

                         Total:                                                                                $210,000.00

 

Alternative Projects if one or more activities are no longer eligible for funding.

            Home Repair (County Wide)  (Qty: 02 Home Repairs totaling: $26,370.00)

 

            Public Facilities & Improvements (Senecaville – Mill Street – Sidewalks):    $170.777.00

 

 

The County will now submit for an amendment to the 2022 Allocation grant with the following changes listed below:

  Home Repairs Qty:4                                                                                             $63,830

                            Total:                                                                                            $210,000.00

 

           

The County will hold a third public hearing to amend the 2022 Allocation grant on June 05, 2023, 10:30 a.m., at The Guernsey County Administration Building located at 627 Wheeling Avenue, Cambridge, OH 43725, to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the County’s proposed Allocation Program.  Residents are encouraged to attend this hearing.  The building is handicapped accessible.  If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact the number listed below at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements.
